Comdev does not limit to just Customer Helpdesk but we built the entire back-end system along with other hot swappable applications that you may need for your website. For example, FAQ Support is built to integrate with Customer Helpdesk and you may need others like Newsletter and eCommerce.

2. How many tickets can it handle?

Comdev Customer Helpdesk can handle to the most of tickets as much as your hosting account storage and bandwidth.

For Trial Version, you can upload up to 10 records only.

3. Can I appoint support users?

Yes. You can create departments and users to handle separate ticket issues.

4. Does it support auto-suggestion of answers

Not for current version yet.

5. Do you use template for the front-end?

No. We do not use template for the front-end as we find template takes time and complicated for you to customize to integrate with your website design.

6. How do I customize it to integrate with my existing website?

All you need is to insert a few lines of PHP codes into your HTML pages to call up the front-end in your web pages. It will fit nicely with your existing web design pages. If you need to customize the front-end, you can do so by editing our front-end files. They are not encrypted.

7. Do I need a website to run Comdev Customer Helpdesk?

Yes. As it is a web-based application, you will need to get it running either on your online website or offline web server. Offline web server is where you normally have IIS or Apache installed at your PC for development purpose.

8. Why should I use Comdev products as there are many free scripts available as open source?

Free scripts are normally contributed by open source communities or volunteering developers. Although free programs are meant to save cost, many people still prefer to use commercial scripts for reliable support and creating successful websites.

Comdev provides the support, service, commitments and responsibility for you to meet your critical success requirements.

9. What do I get for my purchase?

You will receive an email to download the application, order tag and instructions to request for the product activation key. Also, we provide installation support for you to install the application.

10. I don't have any technical knowledge. Is it difficult to install?

If you choose to do it by yourself, you will need a little technical knowledge like uploading files through FTP, create your MySQL database with web hosting control panel and editing your HTML codes.

If you do not want to get your hands dirty, just post us your installation request after purchase. We will be happy to do it for you.

11. Is it possible for me to add additional features or customize the application as what I require?

Yes. If you need to tweak any part of the application, just let us know through our Customer Helpdesk. We can provide you the service at USD 40 per hour basis.

12. Is the source code available?

We leave the front-end files unencrypted for you to customize them to match your website layout. However, we encrypt the back-end application files for code protection and license control.

13. Is it a one time fee or recurring charges?

Our product prices are as one time fee only.

14. How many sites can I install with one license?

Our license is named as URL License. This means that you can install 1 URL License at 1 unique address (URL).

For example, http://www.yourdomain.com/oneadmin/ and http://www.yourdomain.com/oneadmin2/ require 2 different URL Licenses although they are at the same domain name. Sub-domains too require separate licenses.

15. Is there any future upgrade fee?

For minor upgrades, bug fixes and patches, there are no upgrade fees application. For major version upgrades such as from Version 4 to Version 5, there will be an upgrade license fee. Upgrade fee is subjected to change.
