Using List/Edit/Delete Page Object
Below are the tutorials for customizing back-end page and its functionality using 'List/Edit/Delete' page object. Let's say, you've installed Desktop Computer Catalog module on your 'Modules Builder Lite' and now, you wish to customize its existing page that enables you to manage your database including edit and delete records. |
Edit Page Object

- Login to your 'Modules Builder Lite' and run 'Desktop Computer Catalog' module that you've installed. Otherwise, browse to the module's ZIP file on your PC and install it.
- Now, let's proceed to module's Launch Builder and a page similar to above will prompt out. On this page, select Back-End design area and click on the Edit Page Object. Begin your customization by simply select the page you wish to edit, e.g. 'List Desktop'.
- Edit form's name at your own preference and update the menu's location by simply categorize it as main menu or submenu. Select the display sequence in the menu area and Table's name to retrieve information from database. Also, define or edit number of records to display on each page. Click on the 'Update' button once you're done.

Add/Edit Columns

- Customize your 'List Desktop' page by simply update the existing table's columns to display the records that you want.
- First, add or edit column's Field (Data Source name), e.g. name, as well as 'Label' name that appear in the table header, e.g. 'Code'. Then, select field's alignment such as 'vAlign' (Top, Middle or Bottom) and 'Align' (Left, Center or Right).
- Set column's 'Width' in pixel and enable sorting option to sort records in ascending or descending order. Also, choose the display location of your columns in the table.
- To remove or edit columns, simply click on
 and  icon in each column header.

Back-End - List Desktop

Your List Desktop page will appear in your Modules Builder Lite back-end system. You can now perform search using keywords to view records. Search result will display in a table and he or she can sort, edit and delete records with ease. |
