Installation Guide Top 
The installation of CSV Data Tool Component involve two parts
  1. Installation of Web Components Engine (skip if you have already installed)
    If you plan to use more than one component for your project, you will only need a copy of Web Components Engine installed for the project and plug-in rest of the components in the appropriate 'component' folder.

  2. Installation of CSV Data Tool component

If you are not familiar with MySQL command, you may use phpMyAdmin as alternative. .

Web Components Engine Installation

  1. Find the root folder of your web project or create a new root folder for your web project. Example, c:\inetpub\wwwroot\foldername.

  2. Download the file called webce20.zip. Extract it into the root folder, i.e c:\inetpub\wwwroot\foldername.

  3. Make sure you have a MySQL database created, its username and password.

  4. Dump the webce.sql file into your MySQL database, using either MySQL command line or phpMyAdmin.

  5. Edit the setting.php file. Replace the appropriate configuration as below.
    $path["webroot"]="http://yourdomain/foldername/";
    $path["docroot"]="c:\\inetpub\\wwwroot\\foldername\\";

    $db["host"]="localhost";
    $db["user"]="Your Username";
    $db["pass"]="Your Password";
    $db["used"]="Your Database";
  6. Once you are done, access http://yourdomain/foldername/admin.php with your web browser.

  7. Since this is the first login after your setup, just leave the Username and Password blank. Click on the Login button.

  8. Upon login, you will be directed to the administration area of Web Components Engine. As there is no component installed yet, you will see a blank menu on your left and a blank page.
CSV Data Tool Component Installation

  1. Locate a folder named 'component' in your web project directory. Example: c:\inetpub\wwwroot\foldername\component.

  2. Download a file called csvdatatool10.zip. Extract it into the component folder.

  3. Dump the csvdatatool.sql file into the MySQL database, using either MySQL command line or phpMyAdmin.

  4. Set attribute of the /component/csvdatatool/upload folder to Read, Write and Execute permission to all parties. Linux command: chmod 777 upload.

  5. Access the WebCE administration again and you find the CSV Data Tool component is installed.

  6. Try to prepare a CSV file and import the data to see how it works.
Using CSV Data Tool Component

  1. You can freely develop your web applications or plug-in other Comdev components in your web pages.

  2. Using the CSV Data Tool, you can easily bulk uploading your data, by import from CSV file. Also, you can do the CSV export.
