Using the Address Book to Keep Your Contacts

Everyone sure having the experience to remember the long email address of good friends or looking for a special email address in the note book when thinking of writing them an email. You are thinking how nice if there is a tool for you on this purpose. Outlook Address Book offering you the great way to manage this with saving your time and effort. It helps you to maintain the details, creates groups of contact, and set Outlook to add sender that you reply to. There are a lots of options you can play along with it, below are on of example.

1. Adding contact straight from email
An easy way to enter a contact into your Address Book is to highlight a message from a friend in "Inbox" folder and then click the Tools menu followed by Add Sender to Address Book.

2. Enter a new address manually
You may enter a contact manually. To do so, open the Address Book by:
- clicking the book icon on the toolbar or,
- go to Tools > Address Book or,
- using shortcut key "Ctrl+Shift+B".

3. Create new contact
In the Address Book Wizard, click on the New button and select New Contact.

4. Enter friend's details
Type in all the details and remember to put in the email address, then click Add. If you wish to change information for the existing contact, just double click on the entry and repeat the same steps.

5. Create a group list
Sometime you may need to group some of the contact into one same group because of same interest, you can actually create a group list to save your time typing each email whenever you want to send them. First, go to New followed by New Group.

6. Adding group information
In the Group Name field, enter a group name and use the tabs on the top of the window to add additional details. When you're happy with your handiwork, click on the Select Members button on the right.

7. Select members
Choose the members from the list for which you want to assign for the group and click Select ->. |

8. How to use the contacts
When you compose a new email, click the Book Icon beside the To field and choose the contacts. At the same time, You may add several contacts in the Cc or Bcc field.
